SUMMARY: The series follows detectives during the hours immediately following a homicide. The series focuses on the investigation of the victim, canvassing for witnesses, and interrogations.

WHAT WE SEE: White victims are almost always said to be “at the wrong place at the wrong time” whereas black victims are often described as career criminals. Detectives are from different locales and different backgrounds. Black detective cases often go unsolved. Also, interactions of white detectives and their families are shown in a positive light, where black detective’s families remain faceless. Portray stereotypical crimes of blacks.
