SUMMARY: Liz Lemon, head writer of the sketch comedy show “TGS with Tracy Jordan”, must deal with an arrogant new boss and a crazy new star, all while trying to run a successful TV show without losing her mind.
WHAT WE SEE: While this show features a central black character, he is as much a protagonist as he is a humorist. His interactions with his co-stars, as well as silent characters that surround him in the form of entourage and body guards fit the negative stereotype of blacks in high profile situations. The other black character is intelligent and plays a writer for the show but is marginalized as one of the other characters says “Are there other Black Nerds are is it just you?”
