Fox News: Unfair and Unbalanced

Is the 24 hour news channel Fox News conservative? Fox News’ slogan is “Fair and Balanced”. The man behind this slogan is Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of Fox News Corporation. Mr. Ailes was once the consultant to President Nixon, who was a Conservative; he was the media advisor for George Bush Senior, another Conservative, and media advisor for the greatest Conservative of all time, Ronald Reagan. Mr. Ailes was a part of the 1988 Presidential campaign team that came up with the Willie Horton Ad, which was an ad that showed a black man in prison. Mr. Ailes was known as the Darth Vador of the Republican Political advertisary. He controls every aspect of Fox News and even hired President Bush’s cousin, John Ellis, as a political commentary during the 2000 Presidential race. Do you think that Mr. Ellis could have been fair and balanced with his cousin running to be President? Blood is definitely thicker than water.

Fox News reports about the wrong doing of Jesse Jackson’s non-profit organization at least once a week. If Fox News is fair and balanced, why does Fox News choose not to report the good that Jesse Jackson has done or report on another black non-profit organization that is doing the right thing? How many black anchors work at Fox news? Answer 0. Did Fox News do any special reports about any September 11th black victims? How often do you see black expertise guests? Not too often. The majority of the time, Fox News has black guests only to show the “angry Blackman” or black people complaining. All of the primetime shows are a bunch of so-called “journalists” giving their opinions. A journalist is supposed to be unbiased and not give his or her opinion; their job is only to report the information. So that makes Fox News’ other slogan, “We report, you decide” questionable as well.

Ever hear of Juan Williams? Writer of “Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary”, civil rights activist, etc… Fox News contributor? I thought your website was against media stereotypes? So when someone disagrees with a liberal policy, they are all the sudden racists?
